Taste Your Music
Bringing the joy of food & music to DC's residents in need
GS is committed to socially-conscious arts programming, recognizing the power of music to change lives for the better.
Launched in 2015, Taste Your Music is a community outreach project that brings therapeutic and educational concert programs free-of-charge to local service organizations like So Others Might Eat. The program explores the intersection of music, food, and fellowship—offering meaningful opportunities for residents in need to enjoy the classical and culinary arts. It also raises awareness about the issues of hunger and lack of access to healthy food that impact thousands of residents in our nation's capital.
Since its inception, Taste Your Music has impacted more than 5,000 District residents through concert programs and empowerment sessions led by GS musicians and culinary partners. The monthly "meal and music" events are presented at no cost to the partner charities and during existing lunch or dinner services.
